Gary Hempsey Lives in Key West Florida and plays regularly at , Schooner Wharf Bar and the Galleon Sunset Tiki Boondocks , Margaritaville , The Reach Sugarloaf Tiki .

Gary plays adult Acoustic alternative , from soft acoustic to cutting edge . His interpretations of artist like Jackson Browne ,Neil Young, Jimmy Buffett or Beatles give his own flavor to them . He also has 4 C.D.s of original songs so the material is abundant and varied.That old Hippie Band with friends Russ Scavelli and Pete Jarvis Terry Wetmore and Tom Conga Will Hoppey and Emily Springsteen keeps everything fresh and exciting .Gary is also partners with Terry in being the Entertainment directors at Boondocks so he in in constant touch with his peers and gets to enjoy listening to all the talented people he admires.Gary learned to play at the Philadelphia School for guitar Moved to San Francisco and played with many artist and dropping names is a silly thing to do at this point .lets say he’s the only non country act to open up for Kenny Chesney and played Golden Gate Park summer of love 25th anniversary for Bill Grahm presents. In L/A. Gary played with Pat Lydon and Sandy kay at all the usual L.A. digs that are icons in music history , Whiskey , Als bar, too many to mention.
Friends with Janes Addiction and played original music at Woodstock 94 , then off to Las Vegas to play free form with August West for a year while driving for H.B.O. Taxi Cab confessions 15 minutes of fame ran for 5 years or more…

Gary Is playing regularly in the lower Keys and Key West . from his internship at Captain Tonys to his current Tiki bar gigs the music is always unique and listenable , Gary is a Key West Favorite .Next to come is the return to Duval Street so watch out  .New music is being recorded and i’m figuring out how to get them on this site.
