Ricky Valido is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and dynamic performer whose voice and style is unique and captivating. Ricky’s background is Cuban American, his grandparents settled in the United States from Cuba to Hialeah Florida in the 1960’s. Ricky began playing guitar at the age of 8 and began writing songs and poetry in his early teens, which has transformed into his original music.
Ricky best describes his music as modern traditional classic country music. He is influenced by traditional country, soul, bluegrass, rock, blues, and other genres of music. Country music is a strong foundation for experimentation and exploration for Ricky’s songwriting and sound. Artists who fuel Ricky’s songwriting and style include Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, George Jones and modern day acts such as Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Jason Isbell, just to name a few. Over the last 2 years Ricky has flooded the South Florida market playing at least three to four times a week at various venues, festivals, private shows, sports stadiums and charity events. At 24, Ricky has compiled a resumé offering promise for future stardom in country music. Ricky’s passion as singer/songwriter and performer is what drives and motivates him to be successful in his country music career.
